Chaudhry was part of Apple for nearly 20 years and led the design of the iPhone’s home screen, while Bongiarno was the software development lead for several of the company’s products, including the iPhone, iPad and Mac, Bloomberg reported. The pair launched Human in 2018 and hired several other Apple employees, including Apple’s senior director of engineering Patrick Gates. “The future is not your face,” Human president Imran Chaudhry said earlier this year.

The AI startup has raised $230 million in funding to date, with its latest Series C round of $100 million closing in March this year. Human’s high-profile investors include OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Microsoft and Tiger Global Management.

In a statement about Ai Pin, Chaudhry said, “Ai Pin embodies our vision to integrate AI into the fabric of everyday life, enhancing our capabilities without screen our humanity.”

“It is the first wearable device and software platform built to harness the full power of artificial intelligence (AI)”. Reuters quoted Chaudhry.

In his Ted Talk, Chaudhry talked about the AI pin, saying, “It’s about more than devices getting smaller or more powerful. It’s about reimagining the human-technology relationship as we know it.”

Earlier this week, Sam Altman announced that Human launched its first wearable device – the Ai Pin – that leverages AI, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Microsoft’s cloud computing, to provide virtual assistants.

The Ai pin is intended to be worn on clothing, allows users to tap and interact with a virtual assistant, powered by tech from ChatGPT creator OpenAI, and uses Microsoft’s cloud computing power. Additionally, Ai Pin uses a laser projection system to display text and monochromatic images on the user’s hand.  Smart Home Security

Even better, interaction with displayed elements is possible! The part that protrudes from the user’s pocket also houses the camera and speaker. Finally, the hidden part of the pocket contains the device’s battery and processor. “It’s a new type of wearable device, a platform designed entirely for artificial intelligence. No need. It interacts with the world the way you do, what you hear, what you see, securely and completely erased, respecting your privacy. Imran Chaudhry says.

Apart from the camera, this human gadget also has several sensors and offers many features. For example, it allows you to make phone calls. In addition, it incorporates an automatic translator that picks up the speaker’s voice and automatically translates its words into the user’s earpiece.

During his presentation, Imran Chaudhri stressed the importance of turning away from screens – which he largely helped popularize during his time at Apple. He believes that to truly change the relationship between humans and technology, it is necessary to develop something radically different from screens, which are universal in our daily lives (computers, smartphones, tablets, connected watches, etc.).
